THE MAMA MIA’S STORY
1954 – My father, Alvin Fernandez, and his partner Anthony Barbiere open the 1st Mama Mia’s on the corner of 49th and North - our legendary garlic bread is born!
1959 – A new Mama Mia’s opens on 77th and Burliegh (no longer exists)
1961 – A third loaction opens on Silver Spring (no longer affiliated)
1963 – The original location closes
1970 – Mama Mia’s opens a 4th location on 86th and Greenfield Avenue
1976 – Number 5 opens in Waukesha (no longer exists)
1990 – The 6th Mama Mia’s opens in Brookfied Galleria West shopping center
2002 – On November 20th Mama Mia’s opens in Wales
2008 – A Muskego location opens in the fall
